Products don’t matter, people do. Learning about the products takes a read or 2 of the instruction manual. Learning how to communicate, inspire, lead and follow others takes experience and perseverance; the latter being the likely reason for being offered the promotion in the first place.
Excellent response! Follow up question – Does it take caring about the products to have the desire to communicate, inspire, lead and follow others?
I think it can, but the values of the company are what takes precedence. However more often than not the products a company makes are a reflection of the company values anyway so there is a connection there.
